Basal cell skin cancer picturesRepeated exposure to solar ultraviolet radiation may cause skin lesions similar to those resulting from normal aging. The skin becomes thinner in places and loses its elasticity, while white patches, freckles and wrinkles make their appearance. These changes can occur after many years of exposure, but when they occur, the damage is irreversible. Basal cell carcinoma is a malignant tumor, often colored, pearl-shaped, it sometimes develops on the face, squamous cell carcinoma tends to spread on the surface, it often bleeds on contact. It has a rough surface. Although basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinomas rarely cause death, these tumors can disfigure the patient. Untreated cancers can grow and also cause disfigurement. Finally, treatment may sometimes disfiguring the patient if a large amount of skin tissue should be excised. Basal cell carcinoma (BC) is usually in areas exposed to sunlight, but not always. It is manifested initially by a small blister pink and round, although it depends on the type of CB (eg.: Superficial, nodular or Morpheiform). Over time, the tumor continues to grow and after a few months or years, it is sometimes surrounded by tiny blood vessels, but visible. The lesions form crusts often repeatedly, then recovered, and form new crust. This crusting is sometimes accompanied by bleeding. |
