        A brief but intense exposure can cause severe sunburn in people who do not normally exposed to intense sunlight. There is also evidence that such exposures, as prolonged exposure may be related to the manifestation of severe forms of skin cancer later in life.

        Melanoma is the most aggressive skin cancer. It develops from cells called melanocytes, those that contain pigment (melanin) providing the color lighter or darker and the orange skin and are responsible for tanning. Melanoma often develops from a mole, but this is not the most frequent case, it can also develop on an area of healthy skin.

        Melanoma affects young subjects and old alike. It is serious because it grows locally. Furthermore, it may be the source of metastasis to organs (cancer cells detach from the tumor, the blood will bring them to other organs: the liver, lung, bone ).
