        A mole or pigmented lesion that changes: a color change, a change of shape, size increase, a change in topography, episodes of itching, a red base or swollen, indurated, bleeding, ulceration ... should urge you to consult a doctor. A skin lesion that appears suddenly, that does not heal quickly, should also encourage you to visit the doctor.

        The skin cancer can be diagnosed easily by microscopic analysis of a sample of skin taken from the lump or suspicious spot. This is called a biopsy. Under normal conditions, it is not necessary to perform complex tests to determine if the cancer has invaded other parts of the body, as this rarely happens. Depending on the type of biopsy, we remove part or all of the tumor. All these biopsies require local anesthetic.

        Basal cell carcinoma is the most common of all cancers in North America and Europe. It generally attacks the parts of the skin frequently exposed to sunlight, but sometimes it manifests itself in other places. This type of cancer is like a wound prominent, hard, a true red or grayish appearance and pearl, which forms most often on the forehead, eyelids, cheeks, nose and lips. Even if there is a risk it getting worse, in general, basal cell carcinoma does not spread and, in most cases, it can be treated and cured easily.
